Anita at 2 years
These pictures are from Anita's second birthday party or the months surrounding that summer event. Ani rang in her terrible twos singing songs. She sings everything from "Happy Birthday" and nursery songs to the PBS Kids between-show jingles. Anita is running and jumping, finger-painting, eating chips, and sleeping in a "big-girl" bed. Anita still takes a bottle a bed time and, as you can tell from these pictures, she's growing fast. (She pooped in the potty for the first time just 2 days ago.) As a two-year-old, Anita went on her first real vacation (see the Milwaukee Zoo photos), started some pre-school classes with her Mom, and eagerly helps us out around the house whenever we ask.

She lives with us. Anita learned the word, "no," long before she turned two but now she's begun to master its application. She can turn a tidy room upside-down in minutes, still prefers to eat with her fingers, shrieks like a howler monkey, and sleeps with 2 frogs, 3 bears, an owl, and a gorilla.
* This is a question Ani asked one evening as the sun went down.
